FIM Australian Women's Moto Trials Camp 2011

We were invited to represent Western Australia to attend the Women’s Trials FIM Training Camp at Pacific Park, New South Wales in mid July of this year. The camp lasted for three days, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Over 30 female riders arrived at the Camp for training from all around Australia and New Zealand to be coached by special guest Laia Sanz, 10 Times Women World Champion, and Australian top riders Kristie McKinnon, Michelle Coleman, Kevin Zarcynski and many more. The riders ranged from Novice to Expert Riders. The days consisted of splitting into smaller groups, according to our skill level. Each group then learnt many different techniques and skills with each coach offering their individual advice.

We are very thankful to Laia and all the volunteer coaches who gave us their time and expert advice. Also a big Thank you to everyone at Pacific Park for use of their grounds and facilities and making us all so welcome. It is an amazing trials ground, which included high hill climbs, sweeping valleys and much more. We thoroughly enjoyed the Camp in NSW and we both felt the Camp has overall improved our riding skills and techniques. We hope to keep improving, and achieve a level to one-day represent Australia in the World Series.

We would like to say a Huge Thank you to all who kindly gave us donations to help us get to the camp including the AJS Moto Trials Club, the Pathfinders Club,  The ‘Prices’ Simon, Neil(for all there support and training), Moto Dynamics, The Boorer Family (Beta NSW), Mazparts WA, City of Wanneroo, Our Wonderful mother for the Fund Raising, Dad and many Moto Trials club members.
